I first met Valeria Vasi at the birthday party of a mutual friend. We began by singing together at the Karaoke bar in Muntaner, Barcelona. By the time we sang Amy Winehouse’s famous Valerie, I was totally under her spell. So much so that a month later I had to ask her for an interview. I got to hear through a friend in common but also by spending time together what Valeria is up to and what creative projects she involves herself in. Doing my little pre-interview research, I realized that she is already quite established and my respect and admiration for her work grew even more. After all, she is published within Vogue, Plant as well as Metal magazine. To my surprise, apart from being an excellent sculpturist Valeria also works in fashion. I have since begun to follow her career and realized that she has made quite a name for herself already. Being wife to Isern Serra, interior and product designer with his own studio in Poblenou, the couple inspires one another and seems to be living a harmonious relationship, which the effects of are so beautifully visible in the artists work.
